There are dedicated anti station weapons, but they tend to be pretty shitty at their job or work from long range as well only slightly faster than your standard lasers or whatever.įighting bigass ships with hit and run tactics is pretty fun though, and the location based hull damage is really cool, with larger ships having extraneous hull pieces that won't cause their destruction when lost.Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski are two of the StarCraft community’s most beloved personalities. I hope he does something to change anti station combat at some point, right now it's pretty retarded- you basically equip a weapon with longer range than the station then pelt it with a few hundred shots until it blows up way off screen. It makes things easier if you sit around to farm every scrap of gear and money from every system you can in order of strength, but also makes it easy to go in over your head by going to a system way above your level. Might want to try it out with the Network mod, it changes the starsystem to be nonlinear and adds some cool sidequests. It's supposed to be an added feature at some point, but progress on the game is pretty slow.
